The Google Pixel 8 series is all set to be rolled out on 4 October. It seems that the company has confirmed the lineup. In the lineup, the Pixel 8 will be featured as the base model this year. Moreover, the Pixel 8 Pro will be the Pro model in 2023. Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro will succeed Google Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro respectively, which were rolled out in 2022.

As per various certification listings, reports, and leaks of the key specifications of these upcoming models, the following has been known yet. The newly launched models will have considerable upgrades in comparison to their preceding models.

As per Tipster Kamila Wojciechowska, (@Za_Raczke)’s post on X, various information about the soon-to-be-released phone has been taken. The report says that Pixel 8 will be available in color options such as Rose, Hazel, and Obsidian. Moreover, the Pixel 8 Pro will be available in Bay, Porcelain, and Obsidian variants.

The post claimed that the base model of Google Pixel 8 will be available for $699, which is roughly Rs. 51,800. Moreover, the pro model will be available for procurement at $899, i.e., roughly Rs. 74,800.

Google Pixel 8 Specifications and Features

The base model Pixel 8 is expected to come with a full-HD+ resolution with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection and 6.17-inch OLED displays. However, the pro model is claimed to get a QHD resolution. Both the handsets are expected to be equipped with Tensor G3 SoCs.

Various storage variants in which they will be launched are 8GB + 12GB and 128GB + 256GB RAM storage configurations. Moreover, these smartphones will run on Android 14.

Pixel 8 is equipped with a dual rear camera unit. It is expected to support an ultra-wide lens of 12-megapixel sensor and a primary sensor of 50 megapixels. The Pixel 8 Pro includes a primary sensor of 50 megapixels with OIS, an ultra-wide lens of 48 megapixels, and another telephoto camera with a 5x zoom of 48 megapixels. Both the cameras are supposed to be equipped with front camera sensors of 10.5 megapixels.

Pixel 8 will be powered with a 4,485mAh battery with wireless fast charging support of 12W and wired support of 24W. In contrast, Pixel 8 Pro is expected to be powered with a 4,950mAh battery with wireless charging support of 12W and fast wired support of 27W.
