Google Unveils Its First Foldable Smartphone, Google Pixel Fold: Check Features, Specifications and Price

Google I/O 2023 or the legendary Google developer’s conference that occurred on May 10 unveiled a lot of new software and hardware products. One of the breathtaking gadgets was Google Pixel Fold. The Pixel Fold is at par with Huawei Mate X2, Oppo Find N2 Flip, and Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series, and can prove itself a great competitor as well.

Google Pixel Fold is currently available at Rs. 1,47,500 for its 256GB storage variant, which is around 1,799 USD. However, with its upgraded version with 512GB storage, it would cost you roughly Rs. 1,57,300 or 1,919 USD. The color options available for this foldable Smartphone are Porcelain and Obsidian. It is noteworthy to mention that Google is offering its pixel fold customers a pixel watch for free. This Smartphone is available for the US citizen on a pre-order basis. By next month it will reach its US-based customers.

Specifications

The Android 13-based smartphone has a dual-SIM feature with a 7.6-inch inner display. It also possesses a 120Hz refresh rate, 380ppi pixel density, and a 5.8-inch full-HD+ OLED outer display. The inner display comes with a plastic coating, however, the outer one is fully protected with Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. It has 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM And a Titan M2 security chip. Google has also promised to provide five years of pixel updates for its first foldable smartphone.
