Grace Harris to replace injured Darcie Brown in Bangladesh ODIs

Australia women’s cricket team has made a change to their ODI squad for the upcoming tour of Bangladesh, replacing the injured Darcie Brown with all-rounder Grace Harris. Brown’s navicular stress injury has left her sidelined with an uncertain timeline for return, prompting the decision to bring in Harris ahead of schedule.

Harris, initially selected for the T20Is, will now join the ODI squad earlier than planned due to the end of her commitments in the Women’s Premier League. With no replacement named for Brown in the T20I squad, stand-by player Heather Graham is unavailable due to illness. The squad also sees the exclusion of Jess Jonassen and the inclusion of pace bowler Tayla Vlaeminck.

The tour, set to begin on March 21, consists of three ODIs and three T20Is, with the ODIs counting towards the Women’s Championship. Australia, leading the table with ten wins, will face Bangladesh, currently in seventh place with four wins. The updated squad includes Alyssa Healy (capt), Ash Gardner, Kim Garth, Alana King, Phoebe Litchfield, and more.

With the tour just around the corner, the Australian women’s cricket team is gearing up to continue their strong performances in the Women’s Championship against Bangladesh. The addition of Grace Harris to the ODI squad brings versatility and depth as they aim for success in the upcoming series.
