A video is circulating online featuring a green laser in a night sky in Texas. The video is gaining a lot of momentum in the media lately. Plus, the video is generating a lot of curiosity on social media among netizens.
It has been speculated that the mysterious lighting appeared in the sky after the recent wildfires in Texas. It should be noted that the authenticity of the claim is not officially confirmed as of yet.
Claims of Green Laser spotted in Texas dominate the internet
A social media user @ChuckCastello uploaded the video on Twitter claiming that his home security camera caught the green laser at night during a thunderstorm. Well, this is not the first time such an incident has come to light.
Last year in April 2023, a video made headlines when analyzed found that it was originally from 2022 when similar green lights appeared in the sky.
However, a closer look at the video showed that light came from NASA’s Earth-orbiting satellites. The Ice, Cloud, and Land Elevation Satellite 2 or ICESat-2 made its way over a museum when green laser light steamed to the earth from its orbit.
Last year in January 2023, the same lights were spotted from a Subaru telescope on Hawaii’s tallest summit, Mauna Kea. The lights looked like a curtain of bright green lights as reported by Reuters.
In the same year, the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan released a video featuring light that resembled The Matrix’s green code. Meanwhile, there was another report of the same green lasers by The University of Hawaii.

It should be noted that the authenticity of the viral green laser lights is not confirmed by relevant sources. However, there have been multiple reports of the same green lasers across the globe.
