'Group Captain Prashanth Nair among four test pilots for Gaganyaan Mission'

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 27 – Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to announce the names of four test pilots for India’s Gaganyaan Mission during his visit to the Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre in Kerala on Tuesday. Group Captain Prashanth B. Nair, a Sukhoi fighter pilot from Kerala, is among the test pilots undergoing training for the mission.

The four test pilots have completed training in Russia and are now familiarizing themselves with the mission at a unit of ISRO. The news of a Keralite among the test pilots has sparked curiosity, leading to a frenzy of inquiries to identify the officer.

Prime Minister Modi will review preparations for the Gaganyaan Mission during his visit to the VSSC in Thiruvananthapuram. He is scheduled to arrive at 10.45 a.m. on Tuesday and will spend an hour at the space centre.
