Gujarati folk singer Dev Pagli and others join BJP ahead of polls

Former Congress MLA Joita Patel, ex-candidate Lebji Thakor, and Gujarati folk singer Dev Pagli joined BJP at the state party headquarters in Gandhinagar on Tuesday. Dev Pagli highlighted BJP’s developmental work, especially the Ram Temple construction, in his decision to switch parties.

Dev Pagli, a renowned rural folk singer, expressed his admiration for BJP’s initiatives and the Ram Temple project. His decision to join BJP reflects his support for the party’s work and vision.

Originally from Aseda village in Banaskantha, Dev Pagli initially aspired to be a cricketer or actor before finding success in music. His popularity among the youth is evident through his hit songs like ‘Lakh Rupee No Ghaghra’.

The addition of Dev Pagli, along with Joita Patel and Lebji Thakor, to BJP signifies a growing support for the party among influential figures in Gujarat. Their decision to join BJP is a significant development in the political landscape of the state.
