Gurugram: Elvish Yadav granted bail in assault case involving Delhi-based YouTuber
The Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav was granted bail in connection with an assault case involving YouTuber Maxtern on Saturday. The Uttar Pradesh Police took Yadav to the Gurugram court where he was taken into custody and later granted bail by the court.
Gurugram Police confirmed that Yadav was produced before the Duty Magistrate around 1.30 p.m. on Saturday and was released on bail after furnishing the bond. Police also recorded Yadav’s statement in the assault case of YouTuber Sagar Thakur before he was granted bail by the court.
Earlier, Elvish was issued a notice to appear in the assault case on March 18 but had already been taken into custody by Noida Police. The police had applied for Yadav’s production warrant in the Gurugram Court for March 27, but he was granted bail by a Noida Court before that.
The incident of assault occurred in a shop at a shopping mall in the Sector 53 area on March 8, where a video went viral showing Elvish physically assaulting a Delhi-based content creator. An FIR was registered against Elvish and others under Indian Penal Code Sections for rioting, unlawful assembly, causing hurt, and criminal intimidation at the Sector 53 police station.
