An Amber Alert was issued on March 10, 2024, for a 10-month-old baby named Halo Branton, who was abducted from her home. However, it is highly heart-wrenching to announce that the baby has been found dead, reported WRGB.
On Saturday night, the baby girl was kidnapped from her house at 12th Street and Campbell Avenue wrapped in a Minnie Mouse blanket.
On Saturday evening, around 9:15 pm, Halo Branton was abducted from her house, around 11 pm police got a call from 911 and were alerted about the incident.
Investigation for Halo Branton
The police officials of Schenectady released an investigation for the death of a baby girl.
Authorities believed that the baby was in danger, hence issued the amber alert.
They revealed that Halo Branton wore a light pink shirt with a butterfly design of long sleeves, along with white sweatpants with tan and brown flowers.
According to NYDailyTimes, the amber alert reads,
“The Schenectady Police Department has activated the New York State AMBER Alert and is investigating a child abduction that occurred near Campbell Avenue and 12th Street, in Schenectady at about 9:15 PM on 3/9/2024.”
In a press conference, Lt. Ryan Macherone, the General Electric campus in Schenectady, said that they discovered the baby, Halo Branton.
Halo Branton was found in the Schenectady at the General Electric campus. She was transferred to the Ellis Hospital and was announced dead.
Fox News reported that Halo Branton was found alive at the spot where she was located and later she died in the hospital.
Lt. Macherone noted that Halo would have celebrated her first birthday on April 14.
Information about the baby’s abduction and potential suspect hasn’t been disclosed yet.
Macherone cited an active investigation and mentioned launching a criminal investigation on 10-month-old Halo Branton’s death.

He said,
“It’s to be treated as a criminal investigation. The New York State Police are working side-by-side on this. We’re at the infancy of the investigation at this point.”
Notably, no one has been taken into custody at the time of writing this article. However, the investigation goes on.
