Hamas Leader Accuses Israel of Impeding Ceasefire Efforts in Gaza
Gaza, Feb 18 (IANS) – Hamas leader Ismail Haniyeh has accused Israel of obstructing efforts to achieve a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. In a press statement sent to Xinhua news agency, Haniyeh stated that his movement had responded to mediation efforts in a positive spirit and with a sense of responsibility to halt aggression, end the unjust siege, and allow aid and reconstruction to flow.
