Hussain risked his life and while endorsing Yazid, he spoke against him. Hussain was sent with 30,000 army to obey, but he denied and chose to stand for social justice and truth instead.
Hussain has a huge influence on his men. Several thousands of people were following him them. However, despite knowing this fact, Yazid gave Hussain an Ultimatum, either to die or obey him. There, Hussain chose to adhere to his principles. Thus, he was sentenced to death. On the 10th day of Muharram, the first month in the calendar of Islam, Hussain was killed. Eventually, this day has been mourned as the Day of Ashura.
