Arvind Kejriwal, an Indian legislator, activist, and erstwhile administrator, was born on August 16, 1968. Starting February 2015, he has served as Delhi’s seventh chief minister. For those who don’t know, he also served as Delhi’s Chief Minister from December 2013 to February 2014, resigning after just 49 days in office.

1. Career Start
On August 16, 1968, Kejriwal was born in Hisar, Haryana. Kejriwal, an IIT Kharagpur alumnus, was a part of the Indian Revenue Service in 1995 as an official before quitting his prominent position in 2012 to found the Aam Admi Party.
2. Initial Plans
Kejriwal originally desired to become a physician. But in order to attend IIT-Kharagpur and choose to pursue mechanical engineering, he revolted despite his relatives.
3. Eating Habits
Kejriwal has been a dedicated “Vipassana” teacher for many decades and is a devout strict vegan. He routinely practices meditation.

4. Jan Lokpal Movement
In 2012, the Jan Lokpal campaign was spearheaded by anti-corruption campaigner and social activist Anna Hazare, although Kejriwal, retired IPS agent Kiran Bedi, and other participants all contributed significantly to the creation of the Lokpal Bill.
5. No Red Light Car
Kejriwal declined to utilize the “lal batti gaadi” (red-beacon car) as well as other amenities provided for his protection even after being elected as the CM.
6. Work With TATA
His professional business began at TATA Steel, where he labored for nearly four years, between 1989 to 1992. He then applied for the national exam. He collaborated with Mother Teresa before moving on to Ramakrishna Mission and Nehru Yuva Kendra till the findings were known.
