Hells Angels Refute Rumors Of Going To Aurora, Colorado To Fight Venezuela Gang
A video which is making rounds on the internet purportedly shows Hells Angels heading to Aurora, Colorado and social media is rife with rumours that they are going to cross swords with the Venezuelan gang, Tren de Aragua.
Are Hells Angels Going To Colorado?
However, the Hells Angels have negated the news and said that their focus remains only motorcycling.
Aurora became a point of discussion for politicians when they discussed the vexed question of U.S. immigration policy.
Netizens contend that lawlessness has reached a point of nadir and Hells Angels were ready to descend upon Colorado to take the cudgels to fight Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua who is alleged to have taken over several apartments.
Many Republican stalwarts in Aurora which included City Councilwoman Danielle Jurinsky have been vigorously pushing the story that the Venezuelan gang, Tren de Aragua, is taking over apartment complexes in the city and the issue has gained national attention.
However, in an interview with 9NEWS, Aurora Mayor Mike Coffman and Denver Mayor Mike Johnston stated that the situation has been unnecessarily hyped and magnified.
The mayor also stated that one or two residents have been intimidated by the Venezuela gangs, but the city’s law enforcement officials are handling the situation.
The police have refuted all such claims which were made on X and TikTok. Despite the rebuttal by police the unsubstantiated rumors continue to flood the social media.
On Wednesday, the motorcycle club set the record straight and a spokesperson for the club said in a statement posted by the Rocky Mountain charter on Instagram that the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club (HAMC) is not moving to Colorado to confront the immigrants from Venezuela. The spokesperson also added that the posts are being used to hammer home this lie by using video of motorcycles riding in a group.
The video which is being shown in the posts is actually from 2013 as per a Community Note posted on X.
The group also stated that it does not dabble in political issues beyond the realm of motorcycling and has not taken any stance on the issue of immigration or the presidential election.
It is important to note that most of the posts are from groups from the far-right social media accounts.
The posts have got millions of views and have been shared by conservative influencers and elected officials including Colorado Republican State Rep. Ryan Armagost.
