Shiv Sena Hemant Godse Claims Viral Video is Fake, Files Complaint

Shiv Sena’s Shinde group’s Nashik MP Hemant Godse is making national headlines over a viral explicit clip. According to media reports, a video is circulating online showing him in a compromising situation with a woman.

The video is spreading on various social media platforms like Twitter and other media groups.

Hemant Godse publicly addressed the scandal, stating:

“It is a morphed video. I have filed a complaint with the Nashik police and urged them to investigate who is behind this attempt to defame me.”

News reports on the internet are asserting that Congress leader Manish Tiwari posted the video on Twitter. In the viral clip, Hemant Godse can be seen partying with a woman in a hookah parlor.

Ever since the video surfaced in the media, the Shiv Sena MP has been at the point of opposition leaders.

Hemant Godse is a 53-year-old political leader winning a second term as MP from the Nashik constituency. Since 2013, he has been associated with Shiv Sena. Earlier, he was with Maharashtra Navnirman Sena for six years. But in 2013, he joined Shiv Sena and won the seat from Nashik. 

He won the seat by defeating former deputy chief minister Chhagan Bhujbal with 1,87,336 votes.

During the 2019 election, he defeated Samir Bhujbal, nephew of Chhagan Bhujbal.
