Hero Splendor Plus - 5 Reasons Why Is It Best-Seller?

Hero Splendor Plus motorcycles offer fuel efficiency and low running costs, making them one of India’s best-selling motorcycles.

This year’s BS6 Hero Splendor plus bike is powered by a 97.2 cc, single-cylinder engine that is air-cooled and fuel-injected. It has an 8.0 hp engine at 8,000 RPM and an 8.05 Nm engine at 6,000 RPM. It is paired with a four-speed transmission. A tubular double cradle chassis supports the engine, and telescopic front forks and five-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers handle suspension.

Power

As a four-stroke motorcycle, the Hero Splendor Plus bike was launched in 2009. As a result, the bike presented a level of fine-tuning not found in other motorcycles in this price range. In terms of performance, the bike was adequate for daily duties. The present motorcycle has a BS6-compliant 97.2cc fuel-injected engine with around 7.9 horsepower and 8.05 Nm of torque at maximum power.

Service and Maintenance

In India, Hero has the most extensive service network and is one of the most popular brands. One of the advantages of the Splendor is that it requires little maintenance. It is still possible to buy spare parts for the ten-year-old motorcycle for a very affordable price and bike EMI price. Due to its affordability, the Splendor is a great buy.

Ruggedness

Although it’s difficult to describe the ruggedness of any vehicle, Splendor has proven its roughness over time. These bikes are more than two decades old and are still spotted. Also, they ride well. The sale of bikes from rural areas is another indication of ruggedness.

The ruggedness of a product is always a concern for customers from countryside areas. Splendor has proven its ruggedness, which has made it the most popular motorcycle among rural people in today’s period. A luggage mounting system is equip+ped at the side hinges that grab the handle of the Hero Splendor Plus bike to make it more practical.

Price

The bike’s price point is another major reason for its success. There is no doubt that Hero Splendor offers a very competitive price. Starting at Rs. 59,600, the current BS6 model is available. It has been claimed that the manufacturer can achieve 80 kilometres per gallon. In addition to the tubeless tires, Hero’s combined braking, a new graphic design, and i3s start-stop system, the new motorcycle also features a tubeless tire system.

Mileage

The Splendor was one of the few motorcycle options available to customers before it was launched. There were some options, but most of them were less fuel-efficient. As one of the first bikes to reach 70 km/l claimed mileage in India, the Hero Splendor was among the first to achieve it. As we all know, most Indian customers are more concerned with mile efficiency than power. In light of what we’ve said about power, let’s discuss the second reason. Also available is the smart 110, which is very efficient and performs well.

A comprehensive guide to Electronic Stability Control (ESC): All you need to know

Electronic Stability Control or ESC: Everything you need to know about it

Modern vehicles are equipped with various safety features, including Electronic Stability Control (ESC), which helps drivers maintain control in critical situations. ESC uses automatic braking to keep the vehicle on course, preventing loss of control due to slipping wheels.

ESC, also known as Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) or Electronic Stability Program (ESP), assists drivers during hard turns or steep manoeuvres by adjusting the brakes and engine throttle. This technology doesn’t prevent rollovers but helps keep the vehicle stable by ensuring the tires stay on the road.

The ESC system activates when the vehicle’s ignition is turned on and works in the background by monitoring steering wheel activity and wheel speed sensors. If a loss of control is detected, ESC automatically adjusts oversteer and understeer, applying brakes to individual wheels to bring the vehicle back on track.

Advantages of ESC include preventing vehicle skidding in slippery conditions, providing support in tricky driving situations, enhancing safety, comfort, and agility, and helping drivers maintain control of their vehicles. This technology significantly reduces the risk of rollovers and improves overall driving safety.
