Himachal Crisis Resolved: All MLAs have resolved differences and agree to work under Sukhu’s leadership, announces Shivakumar

The political crisis in Himachal Pradesh has been almost averted, as confirmed by Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar. He stated that all Congress legislators have resolved their differences and will work together under Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. Speculation of dissent has been dismissed.

Shivakumar noted, “Chief Minister Sukhu has accepted that some failures have happened, but they will not continue further.” He mentioned the formation of a coordination committee to work together to save the party and the government. Cabinet minister Vikramaditya Singh’s resignation has been withdrawn. The unity among Congress MLAs is highlighted.

Observers sent by the high command, including Shivakumar and former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, held meetings with party MLAs and leaders to address the situation in Himachal, which arose after the Rajya Sabha election setback. A coordination committee has been constituted to handle future issues, ensuring the party’s stability.

Himachal Pradesh unit Congress president Pratibha Singh expressed regret over the loss of the Rajya Sabha seat and highlighted the focus on preparing for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Speaker Kuldeep Pathania declared six rebel Congress MLAs, who defied the party whip, cease to be members of the Assembly under the anti-defection law. The move was to save the government.
