Today, Himachal Pradesh is all set to witness its single-phase poll election. The campaigns for the election assembly were finished last Thursday and now everyone’s eyes are on the voting booth. Today the fate of candidates will be decided. Parties who are standing in the election are- Congress, BJP, and AAP along with a few local parties.
As for the ruling party BJP, Prime Minister Narendra Modi led the whole campaign for the party and its candidates. For Congress, Priyanka Gandhi led the campaign. Former party chief Rahul Gandhi was absent during the speech and campaign. As per reports, he is currently on a long Bharat Jodo Yatra. AAP campaigns were handled by their people, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann.

Himachal Elections: Key parties in the fray
So far the state has seen a bipolar contest between Congress and BJP. But time. AAP has entered the fight making the poll triangular in a few segments of the assembly. Apart from this, other parties in the election are the Communist Party of India (CPI), Communist Party of India (Marxist), Rashtriya Devbhumi Party (RDP), and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP). AAP, Congress and BJP will be contesting 68 seats while CPIM is standing on 11, CPI 1, BSP 53, and RDP 29.
Himachal Pradesh Elections: What opinion polls have predicted
As per various websites and news articles, many have predicted BJP in majority from 31 seats to 46 this time. On November 6th- ABP News-CVoter predicted 31 to 39 seats for the BJP, 0-1 seats for the AAP and lastly for congress it will be 29 to 37. It will interesting to see what the future holds for them.
