Honda Elevate reaches new milestone with 30,000 units sold since launch
Honda Cars India’s SUV, Elevate, has reached a significant milestone by selling over 30,000 units since its launch in September last year. The SUV shares its platform with the 5th generation City and achieved this milestone in just 6 months.
The Elevate competes with popular SUVs like Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, and others in the Indian market. It is powered by a 1.5-litre, four-cylinder naturally aspirated engine producing 119 bhp and 145 Nm of torque, available with a 6-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission.
Honda has confirmed that there will be no diesel or hybrid options for the Elevate, but they are working on an all-electric version expected to launch in the coming years. The SUV is offered in four variants – SV, V, VX, and ZX, with automatic transmission available in all variants except the base SV model, priced between ₹11.58 lakh and ₹16.20 lakh ex-showroom.
In a first for Honda Cars India, the company has begun exporting the Elevate from India to Japan. The SUV will be sold as ‘WR-V’ in Japan with some cosmetic changes to the cabin and feature deletions. HCIL has previously exported models to various markets and continues to expand its global reach.
This milestone achievement showcases the success of Honda’s SUV in the Indian market and the brand’s commitment to innovation and expansion in the global automotive industry.
