Honkai: Star Rail Faces Backlash for Hiring Chris Niosi as Voice Actor Amid Resurfaced Sexual Harassment Allegations

Chris Niosi, who is known as Kirbopher, is a well-known American voice actor and animator.
Chris was recently announced as a voice actor for the English translation of the video game “Honkai: Star Rail.”
But as soon as the announcement was made, Chris’ past was digged out and he is currently trending on social media for the same.
So, In 2019, one of Chris’s ex-girlfriends accused him of emotionally abusing her. When she came forward, many of his other partners also started speaking out about their experiences.
The allegations were so strong that Nintendo removed Niosi from the “Fire Emblem” game series at that time, where he was voicing the character Byleth.
Fans were also unhappy with Chris after allegations surfaced.
And according to them, even if Chris is now taking therapy to be better, his partners did not deserve the abuse they went through.
In 2019, when the former partner came out with these allegations, Chris admitted to all the claims and apologized for his behaviour.
In his apology, Chris wrote,
“I am 30 years old and for about half of my lifetime, I have horribly mistreated and abused friends, colleagues, and even my significant others. It is time that I addressed each and every one of those people and responded to their feelings with individual apologies for what I’ve done to hurt them.”
The ex-girlfriend lashed out against the apology and added,
“Not to mention you completely glossed over the part about how you kept me hostage in your car in front of my office building. Out of everything, that was honestly the most horrifying thing you did to me. You forced me to do something I didn’t want to do.”
The ex-girlfriend also spoke up about how Chris used to keep her in the car against her will and how he tried to take advantage of her while she was drunk.
However several people were unhappy because of the way he never addressed the sexual coercion allegations.
As of now, neither Chris Niosi nor the developers of Honkai: Star Rail have responded to the recent backlash.
