Honor Introduces AI-Powered Magic6 Pro Smartphone and Smart Devices

Barcelona, Feb 25 (IANS) – Honor, the global technology brand, unveiled the AI-powered Magic6 Pro smartphone and a range of smart devices during its keynote. The Magic6 Pro and MagicBook Pro 16 are equipped with platform-level AI to enhance human-centric experiences.

George Zhao, CEO of Honor Device Co, Ltd, expressed excitement about the global launch of the new products, stating, “We are delighted to announce the global launch of the new Honor smartphones and AI PC with industry-leading AI capabilities, while breaking boundaries in human-device interaction.”

The company introduced MagicOS 8.0, the latest version of its Android-based operating system, featuring platform-level AI and the industry’s first intent-based UI. The Magic6 Pro includes on-device AI with open-source LlaMA 2, allowing for offline functions such as Q&A, text creation, and reading comprehension.

Honor showcased an enhanced ‘Falcon Camera System’ powered by a larger AI database, offering improved photography capabilities. The Magic6 Pro also boasts ‘AI Motion Sensing Capture’, an advanced AI algorithm for capturing decisive moments in high definition.

With a 6.8-inch low-power ‘LTPO Eye Comfort Display’ and the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform, the Magic6 Pro promises exceptional performance. It will be available in Black and Epi Green colors starting at 1,299 euros, while the MagicBook Pro 16 will debut in Q2 2024 in white and midnight black variants.
