Houthis declare responsibility for the attacks on 2 US warships in the Red Sea

Yemen’s Houthis launched missile and drone attacks on two US Navy warships in the Red Sea. Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree stated, “Our armed forces will not hesitate to expand attacks against all hostile targets.” The operation was a response to US-British aggression and in support of the Palestinian people in Gaza.
The Houthi rebels based in Yemen declared that they successfully carried out a significant military operation targeting US Navy warships in the Red Sea. The spokesperson for the Houthi military, Yahya Saree, announced the operation which involved the use of naval missiles and drones. The statement was broadcasted on the Houthi-run satellite TV channel al-Masirah.
Saree emphasized that the attacks were not limited to the Navy warships only, stating, “Our armed forces will not hesitate to expand attacks against all hostile targets.” The motive behind the military operation was linked to showing support for the Palestinian people in Gaza and as a reaction to the aggression faced by Yemen from the US and Britain. The Houthis have been engaged in a prolonged conflict in Yemen, and this recent operation escalates tensions in the region.
