How to Choose the Right VPN for Enterprises?

Cloud computing systems and storage have been quite common for a few years. Many organizations are investing in cloud or hybrid systems to store their valuable data. This storage system is a faster, cheaper, and remote solution for data storage and access.

Since hundreds and thousands of businesses are shifting to this system to store critical data, security risks are rapidly increasing. From malware to hijacking, and security breaches to data theft businesses are exposed to a myriad of vulnerabilities.

To reduce cyber security threats, you need an encrypted and secured connection between your devices and storage. The optimal solution to ensure advanced security while your employee sends and receives critical data is through a VPN network.

What is Corporate VPN?

A VPN offers end-to-end encryption to devices and creates an encrypted tunnel that connects the user directly to the data storage. Corporate VPN is essential to secure sensitive assets and resources for businesses, regardless of their size. It connects employees with the internet by blocking vulnerabilities to identify the actual server location.

The major purpose of corporate VPN is to strengthen and protect the business resources such as SaaS applications, internal sales and customer systems, and local file storage. Whether employees are on a familiar or unfamiliar Wi-Fi connection, they stay secure while accessing the data storage.

Even if you integrate seamless storage solutions such as Microsoft Azure, Salesforce, or Amazon Web Services, you can build a low-latency connection with high security for access. However, to ensure maximum security, you need to choose the right corporate VPN solution for your business.

How to Choose the Right VPN for Enterprises?

Different VPN solutions offer different features. If you want to enhance your business security, you should pick the right option. Whether you are purchasing a VPN for commercial or personal use, you should evaluate the top options. Once you shortlist the options to one, you can improve your security and access files safely. Here are some critical factors that you should consider to choose the right VPN for enterprises:

1. Security

VPN encrypts your data and connection, so malicious persons and cybercriminals can’t track your online activity. Thus, VPN gives you the freedom to transmit the data to and from a secure and untraceable path. Many VPNs use 256-bit of encryption. Some offer better encodings and security. Among the wide range of options, you have to choose a service that provides stronger encryption technologies. A reliable and secure VPN service provides:

  • Auto-connect
  • Centralized settings
  • Site-to-Site Encryption
  • Wire Guard security
  • Dedicated IP
  • Single Sign-on

2. VPN Speed

The speed of a VPN connection defines reliability as well. A trustworthy VPN service provider offers high connection speed. That said, the connection speed might be slower than the actual speed of the server. This happens because of additional layers of security.

But, this also indicates that the service provider might be outsourcing the servers. If that’s the case, you should not rely on that service provider. A reliable service provider should maintain the server rather than outsourcing. You should invest in a VPN service that offers high-speed and secure connections.

3. Server Locations

You should also consider the remote server location while choosing a service provider. It would help if you check the list of supported servers before registering with the platform. A platform that includes most parts of the world is a better option that offers two to three countries. Many platforms offer more than 1000 server locations to businesses. That said, the number of server locations depends on your business size and activities.

4. Pricing Plan

When choosing a VPN service provider, you should consider the price and discounts as well. A platform that offers a wide range of features might charge you a fortune. But, many factors influence the pricing options.

Many platforms offer a single pricing plan to their users. You should choose a platform that offers multiple pricing plans. That way you can decide according to your business needs and preferences.

A reliable VPN platform should have a customized subscription plan as well. You can request a subscription fee according to your preference. Furthermore, you can only choose the features you want for your company.

Another benefit of choosing a reliable platform is that it offers both monthly and yearly billing. As a result, you can choose the payment option based on your business type and size. If you are olay7 to pay yearly, the platform will charge you a single payment in a year. While with monthly payments, you can pay on monthly basis.

Every VPN service provider offers a discount to its users. They provide annual promotions or seasonal discounts to their clients. It is okay to choose a platform that offers a discount, but you should consider other features as well such as quality of service, connection speed, and available locations.

5. Compatible Operating System

While selecting a reliable platform, you should make sure that it is compatible with the specific operating system such as iOS, Mac, Android, or Windows. Choosing the operating system will narrow down the list of top corporate VPN services.

Conclusion

You can easily choose a reliable and secure VPN service provider through proper evaluation. But, before choosing a platform you should know what type of service you want. Without knowing your preferences, you cannot evaluate a VPN platform. After reading the above-mentioned factors to choose a VPN service, you can make a well-informed decision.

While making a decision you should look for better security, improved speed, and lower price. Also, make sure that the platform offers discounts and offers. Finally, make sure you carefully read the testimonial and reviews before registering.
