Indian government has made it mandatory to Link Aadhaar with Driving Licences. Recently government identified that a single person has more than one driving license. There are people who holding driving licenses from of different states and some of them have also made fake licenses. As per the road transport acts, a person cannot hold multiple drivers’ licenses. Driving license issued in one state is valid in all other states and union territories of the country. Thus, a person need not have to hold multiple driving licenses.
Due to these frauds governments has decided to link the AADHAAR cards with driving licenses. As one person can link only one driving license with the AADHAR these remaining fraudulent or duplicate licenses will automatically stand cancelled.
