IIT Delhi and R Systems International Sign MoU to Establish Center of Excellence on Applied AI
New Delhi, Feb 26 (IANS) – The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi) and R Systems International have joined hands to set up a Center of Excellence (CoE) on applied AI for sustainable systems at the varsity. The MoU signed between the two organizations aims to enhance research and development capabilities in the field of AI.
R Systems International Limited, a global leader in digital product engineering and technology solutions, will collaborate with IIT Delhi to establish a cutting-edge research lab, create an endowed faculty chair position, and initiate merit-based student scholarships within the CoE. This initiative is expected to drive innovation in AI techniques for sustainable computing.
Prof. Rangan Banerjee, Director of IIT Delhi, expressed enthusiasm about the collaboration, stating, “Sustainable computing and systems will be critically important in the future. Our collaboration with R Systems will result in the development of innovative approaches and cutting-edge AI techniques for sustainable computing.”
Nitesh Bansal, CEO and Managing Director of R Systems International, highlighted the significance of implementing AI and Generative AI in a responsible and sustainable manner. The CoE will serve as an R&D hub, bringing together researchers from R Systems and faculty members and students from IIT Delhi to address real-world problems on a large scale.
The partnership between R Systems and IIT Delhi aims to bridge the gap between theoretical research and practical application of AI solutions. This collaboration is expected to play a pivotal role in the industry-academia partnership, facilitating the utilization of AI in various fields.
