Ikka and Raftaar recall selecting ‘cool items’ from Delhi’s Palika Bazar

Rapper Ikka, best known for his role as a squad boss on ‘MTV Hustle 3.0’, recently shared his love for fashion and how he used to shop for accessories at Delhi’s Palika Bazar alongside fellow rapper Raftaar. In an interview with IANS, Ikka mentioned how hip-hop inspired his sense of style, leading him to explore the fashion trends in the genre.

As a child, Ikka found himself captivated by the fashion showcased in international hip-hop videos, particularly the unique caps, jackets, and shoes. This curiosity drove him to search for similar items, eventually leading him to Palika Bazar in Delhi’s Connaught Place, where he discovered a treasure trove of clothing and accessories.

Recounting his experiences, Ikka reminisced, “I used to go there with Raftaar and Lil Golu. Fashion ‘ka keeda mujhe hip-hop ki vajah se hi laga tha’. I remember wearing two T-shirts in Delhi summers. I love hip-hop in its entirety, including the fashion associated with this genre.” His journey through the vibrant street markets of Delhi played a significant role in shaping his unique fashion sense.

Ikka, who is gearing up for a performance at the upcoming Royal Stag Boom Box, continues to draw inspiration from hip-hop culture and its distinctive fashion trends. His shared experiences shed light on the impact of music and style on personal expression and creativity, resonating with fans and fellow artists alike.
