The Indian men’s hockey team faced a defeat against Australia in their fourth match of the bilateral test series as preparation for the Paris Olympic Games. Despite an early lead by India, Australia secured a 3-1 victory with goals from Hayward and Welch.

India displayed a strong attacking approach in the match, with Harmanpreet Singh scoring the opening goal in the 12th minute. However, Australia quickly equalized and then took the lead through Hayward’s goals in the 19th and 47th minute, followed by Welch’s goal in the 54th minute.

Despite India’s efforts to bounce back, Australia’s dominant performance secured their fourth consecutive win in the series. The Indian team will look to regroup and aim for a better performance in their final match against Australia on Saturday.
