The seasoned table tennis maestro, Sharath, defeated World Nos. 13 Darko Jorgic and 22 Omar Assar to reach the quarterfinals, showcasing his exceptional skills on the table. His resurgence has highlighted India’s growing presence in the international table tennis circuit.

In women’s singles, Manika Batra remains the top-ranked Indian paddler, holding onto her spot at 38th despite a minor slip. Sreeja Akula’s rise to 47th place and Yashaswini Ghorpade’s rank at World No. 100 further underline India’s strength in the global table tennis arena.
