India urges for immediate de-escalation amidst rising tensions between Israel and Iran.

New Delhi, April 14 (IANS) India has expressed serious concern over the escalating tension between Israel and Iran, urging both countries to exercise restraint, step back from violence, and return to the path of diplomacy. The Ministry of External Affairs issued a statement highlighting the threat to peace and security in the region.

“We are seriously concerned at the escalation of hostilities between Isreal and Iran which threatens the peace and security in the region,” the Ministry of External Affairs stated, emphasizing the need for immediate de-escalation and the importance of diplomacy in resolving the conflict.

The MEA called for “immediate de-escalation, exercise of restraint, stepping back from violence and return to the path of diplomacy” in order to maintain security and stability in the region. The Indian Embassies in the area are closely monitoring the situation and are in touch with the Indian community.

In an X post of its official spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, the MEA stated, “We are closely monitoring the evolving situation. Our Embassies in the region are in close touch with Indian community. It is vital that security and stability are maintained in the region.” India remains vigilant and advocates for peaceful resolution of conflicts in the Middle East.
