Indian founders meet Nvidia CEO as part of Peak XV’s AI focused trip
Indian founders of venture capital fund Peak XV (formerly known as Sequoia Capital India and Southeast Asia) had the opportunity to meet with Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang during an AI-focused immersion trip at the company’s campus in the Bay Area in the US.
The meeting, which took place from February 13 to 16, was part of an immersion trip organized by Peak XV as part of the closing of the ninth cohort of Surge, the venture capital fund’s scale-up program for early-stage startups. More than 60 Peak XV and Surge founders engaged with Huang at the campus, coming all the way from India, Southeast Asia, and Australia for the US week.
During the trip, founders had the chance to attend a demo of all of Nvidia’s solutions and learn how they fit into various industries and sectors. Huang also shared insights about his journey and the company’s current focus areas.
Nvidia has been making headlines recently, with its market capitalization surpassing Google-parent Alphabet’s and even overtaking Amazon’s market cap for the first time since 2002. The company’s market capitalization currently stands at $1.83 trillion, reflecting its significant growth and impact in the tech industry.
The founders’ interaction with Huang and the insights gained during the trip emphasize the increasing significance of AI and its potential to shape the future. As AI continues to evolve, such engagements between industry leaders and emerging startups are crucial in unlocking new opportunities and driving innovation in the tech sector.
