Indian Hero Mavrick 440 set to launch in the UK later this year

Hero MotoCorp has unveiled its flagship offering, the Mavrick 440, in the UK, marking its entry into the European market. The company appointed MotoGB as its distribution partner, aiming to cater to a wider customer base, especially A2 license holders. The motorcycle boasts a relaxed riding nature and torquey motor, adding to its appeal.

The Hero Mavrick 440 shares its underpinnings with the Harley-Davidson X440 and is targeted at the growing midsize motorcycle segment globally. It features a 440 cc single-cylinder engine producing 27 bhp at 6,000 rpm and 36 Nm of peak torque at 4,000 rpm, along with a 6-speed gearbox and a slipper clutch. The bike comes equipped with LED lighting, a digital instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity, an all-metal body, and a 13.5-liter fuel tank.

Offered in three variants with different color options, the prices for the Hero Mavrick 440 start from ₹1.99 lakh and go up to ₹2.24 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Bookings have already begun in India, with deliveries set to commence soon. The motorcycle is expected to be priced at around 5,000 Pounds in the UK and will compete with models like the Triumph Speed 400 and Royal Enfield Classic 350.

Hero’s Mavrick 440 will be part of the company’s larger expansion plans in Europe, which also include the introduction of its electric brand Vida. The manufacturer plans to launch the Vida V1 Pro and V1 Coupe in Europe later this year, with more details about Hero’s European strategy to be revealed in the near future.
