Indian Men’s Hockey Team Embarks on Tour to Australia

New Delhi, April 2 (IANS) – The Indian senior men’s hockey team departed from the Indira Gandhi International Airport on Monday night for a significant journey to Australia for a five-match Test series starting on April 6. The series will see matches on April 7, 10, 12, and 13, showcasing hockey talent to fans.

The tour to Australia offers the Indian team a vital opportunity to assess their preparedness, fine-tune strategies, and identify areas for improvement ahead of the Paris Olympics. With tough competition ahead, the team is determined to give their best and make every moment count on the field.

Having performed exceptionally during the Bhubaneswar and Rourkela leg of the FIH Pro League 2023-24, the Harmanpreet Singh-led team demonstrated skill and resilience, clinching victory in three out of four matches in Bhubaneswar. They aim to continue their dominance in the upcoming series against Australia.
