Indian National Vivek Saini In Georgia, USA Brutally Attacked to Death with Hammer, Incident Goes Viral

Vivek Saini was an Indian citizen pursuing an MBA in the USA. NDTV reported that, on January 16, 2024, he was brutally murdered in Lithonia, Georgia, by a homeless man. The video of a 25-year-old man, later identified as Vivek Saini, is circulating heavily on various social media platforms.

A homeless man, Julian Faulker, attacked Vivek and ended up killing him. In the viral CCTV Footage, Julian Faulker, reported to be a drug addict, can be seen inflicting serious injuries on Saini, leading to his demise.

This brutal incident occurred on a late Monday night at a convenience store, Chevron Food Mart, located in Lithonia. Almost two weeks after this tragic incident, the news went viral all over the internet. People reacted with disbelief and shock. The Consulate General of India in Atlanta (@CGI_Atlanta) went to X and regarded this murder as “terrifying, brutal, and heinous.”

Vivek Saini Death Video Triggers Mass Outrage Online

Reported by NDTV, Vivek Saini was working as a part-time clerk at the Chevron Food Mart, a convenience store in Lithonia. Vivek allowed Julian Faulkner, the homeless drug addict, to live in the store. Vivek also helped him with a jacket, drinking water, and chips.

On January 16, when Vivek refused to give “free food” to Faulker, he found himself in a serious situation. Thus, Vivek warned the drug addict to leave the store; otherwise, he would call the cops. Soon after, the drug addict started hitting Vivek with a hammer and continued to do so until the 25-year-old breathed his last.

When Lithonia Police received calls from 911, they arrived at the convenience store. However, by then, Vivek’s bleeding body was lying on the floor. Faulker could be seen standing near Saini’s body and was taken into custody. Police are currently investigating the matter.

The CCTV footage of this tragic and brutal incident has garnered mass traction on the internet, especially on X. Some netizens are “seeking protests from Indians staying in the USA,” while others demand justice for Saini.

Who was Vivek Saini?

Vivek Saini hailed from Bhagwanpur village in Panchkula district of Haryana. He was the son of Lalita Saini and Gurjeet Singh. Two years ago, he went to the United States to pursue an MBA.

Live Mint reported that Vivek Saini “was looking for a good job in the United States.” Moreover, Vivek Saini’s family was contacted immediately after this incident. They were provided with “all consular assistance, including making arrangements to send Vivek’s body back to India.”
