Indian Players Chahar and Gaikwad arrive in Chennai for CSK’s pre-season camp ahead of IPL 2024

Chennai, March 2 (IANS) Fast-bowling all-rounder Deepak Chahar and opener Ruturaj Gaikwad have arrived in the city for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) pre-season camp ahead of the 2024 edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). CSK announced the arrival of players and staff, gearing up for the upcoming season at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium.

CSK revealed through social media the arrival of Gaikwad, logistics manager Sanjay Natarajan, high-performance analyst Lakshmi Narayanan, team doctor Dr. Madhu Thottappillil, and masseur Khalil Khan in Chennai. They are all set to kickstart the pre-season preparations.

Additionally, CSK also updated about the arrival of Chahar, spinners, pacers, all-rounders, fielding coach, and team manager for the pre-season camp. Chahar, who has been out of competitive cricket since last year due to personal reasons, is gearing up for the upcoming season.

Gaikwad, who made a comeback through Maharashtra’s Ranji Trophy match after recovering from a finger injury, looks forward to contributing to the team’s success. Captain M.S Dhoni’s arrival is still awaited as he was seen attending a pre-wedding event in Jamnagar.

Chennai Super Kings will begin their IPL 2024 campaign as defending champions against Royal Challengers Bangalore on March 22 followed by a clash against Gujarat Titans on March 26 at the M.A Chidambaram Stadium. The team is all set to defend their title and put up a strong performance in the upcoming season.
