India’s Mary Kom appointed as Chef de Mission for Paris Olympics, Sharath Kamal named flag bearer

Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has announced the appointment of key officials for India’s contingent at the 2024 Paris Olympics. MC Mary Kom will lead as Chef de Mission, with Achanta Sharath Kamal as the flag-bearer and Shiva Keshavan as Deputy Chef de Mission.

Mary Kom’s dedication and inspiring journey make her the perfect choice to guide and mentor Indian athletes at the Paris Olympics. Shiva Keshavan, a former Olympian in luge, will support her in this crucial role with his experience and knowledge.

Gagan Narang, a respected shooting champion, will oversee the shooting village operations, ensuring a conducive environment for Indian shooters. Meanwhile, Achanta Sharath Kamal will carry the Indian flag with pride, symbolizing unity and spirit at the Olympic stage.
