IPL 2024: GT Appoints B R Sharath in Place of Minz; RR Signs Tanush Kotian for Zampa’s Spot

New Delhi, March 22 (IANS) – Gujarat Titans (GT) have made a replacement for Robin Minz and Rajasthan Royals (RR) have signed a new player for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL), starting on Friday. B R Sharath will join GT while Tanush Kotian will be a part of RR for the 17th edition of the IPL.

Sharath, a wicketkeeper-batter from Karnataka, has a T20 experience with 328 runs. Kotian, who recently contributed to Mumbai’s Ranji Trophy win, has played T20s, First-Class, and List A matches for Mumbai.

Adam Zampa decided to withdraw from IPL 2024 for personal reasons, leading to Kotian’s signing. Meanwhile, Robin Minz of GT faced a bike accident, prompting the team to bring in Sharath as his replacement.

Minz, the first Adivasi player in the IPL, was initially signed by GT for Rs 3.6 crore in the player auction last year. Both Sharath and Kotian join their respective teams for a base price of Rs 20 lac each, bringing fresh talent to the tournament.
