IPL 2024: Harbhajan Praises Bumrah’s Sensational Bowling Performance against RCB

In a recent post-match analysis, former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh praised Mumbai Indians bowler Jasprit Bumrah for his exceptional performance against Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). Bumrah’s 5-21 figures helped MI secure a comfortable 7-wicket win, with Harbhajan highlighting Bumrah’s commitment to self-improvement and his calm demeanor.

Harbhajan emphasized Bumrah’s growth as a bowler, noting, “To see him bowl from day one and today, there’s a huge difference. He’s been a great learner of the game.” Bumrah’s five-wicket haul included dismissing key players like Virat Kohli and showcased his death bowling skills by dismantling RCB’s lower order.

Following his impressive performance, Bumrah’s wicket tally for the season reached 10 in five matches, putting him joint top in the race for the Purple Cap. Harbhajan lauded Bumrah as a standout player in the IPL, stating, “When it comes to pressure situations, no one does better than what he does.”

In addition to Bumrah’s heroics, Harbhajan also praised Suryakumar Yadav for his quickfire 59 runs off 19 balls during the chase. Harbhajan compared Surya to AB de Villiers, calling him “a better version” and highlighting his impact on the team’s performance.

Suryakumar Yadav’s return to form after a long injury layoff has been a standout feature of Mumbai Indians’ campaign this season, with Harbhajan expressing high regard for the batter’s abilities. Harbhajan’s glowing endorsement of both Bumrah and Yadav underscores the talent and depth in the Mumbai Indians squad this IPL season.
