IPL 2024: Mayank Yadav Experiencing Lower Abdominal Soreness, Workload to be Monitored This Week

Lucknow Super Giants fast-bowler Mayank Yadav is experiencing lower abdominal soreness and will have his workload managed this week as a precaution. The youngster had to leave the field after bowling just one over in Sunday’s IPL match against Gujarat Titans.

LSG CEO, Colonel Vinod Bisht, mentioned, “Mayank felt soreness in the lower abdominal area and as a precaution, we are managing his workload over the next week. We hope to see him soon on the field.”

Mayank has been a standout performer for LSG, with impressive three-wicket spells in previous matches. Teammate Krunal Pandya mentioned that Mayank seemed okay after the game. Mayank holds the record for the fastest delivery in IPL 2024 at 156.7 kmph.

Despite facing injuries in the past, Mayank has showcased his talent on the field. LSG is currently in third place in the points table and will face Delhi Capitals in their upcoming match at the BRSABV Ekana Cricket Stadium on Friday evening.
