IPL 2024: Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s new logo and jersey unveiled by Kohli, Mandhana, and Du Plessis

Bengaluru, March 19 (IANS) – Faf du Plessis, Smriti Mandhana, and Virat Kohli unveiled the new name and jersey of RCB – Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. The team’s new identity was revealed during RCB Unbox 2024 event, confirming the change to Royal Challengers Bengaluru.

The event celebrated the loyal fan base of the team, the 12th Man Army, and showcased the team in action ahead of the upcoming IPL 2024 season. Kohli, Mandhana, and Du Plessis launched the new jersey as fans cheered on with excitement.

The women’s team, fresh off their victory in the Women’s Premier League 2024, received a special guard of honor from the men’s team. Former RCB star R. Vinay Kumar was also inducted into the RCB Hall of Fame alongside AB de Villiers and Chris Gayle.

Fans were treated to music performances by DJ Alan Walker and other popular artists. RCB is set to start their IPL 2024 campaign against Chennai Super Kings before playing their first home game on March 25 in Bengaluru.
