Iran refutes US allegations about Tehran-Moscow space collaboration

Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Nasser Kanaani has dismissed US claims of space cooperation with Moscow as “baseless”, rejecting accusations of deepening military partnership harmful to Ukraine and Iran’s neighbors. The cooperation between Iran and Russia is based on international laws and regulations.

Kanaani responded to US State Department Spokesperson Matthew Miller’s statements, calling them baseless and stressing the right of countries to cooperate within the framework of international regulations. The recent launch of the Iranian satellite Pars-1 by Russia was successful and in line with international laws, putting it into a 500-km orbit via a Soyuz rocket launch in eastern Russia.

The defence and military cooperation between Iran and Russia will continue within its framework and is not directed against any third party. The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman emphasized that the claims made by US authorities are unfounded and reiterated the right of countries to cooperate within established laws and regulations.
