Iran to file lawsuit against Israel for assault on its embassy in Syria

Iran is set to file a lawsuit against Israel for the recent deadly attack on its consulate in Syria. Vice President Mohammad Dehqan announced the legal action, citing violations of international law and promising more information on Iran’s legal decisions soon.

Dehqan addressed reporters in Tehran, denouncing Israel’s missile strike on the Iranian consulate in Damascus, which resulted in at least 14 fatalities. The attack also included the deaths of eight Iranians, five Syrians, and a member of Lebanon’s Hezbollah group, as per the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights.

Iran is currently assessing the legal implications of the attack and intends to take legal action against Israel. Dehqan’s statement comes amid rising tensions in the region, with Iran vowing to hold Israel accountable for the attack on its consulate in Syria. The death toll is expected to increase due to serious injuries sustained in the airstrike.

The lawsuit marks a significant escalation in tensions between Iran and Israel, with both countries engaged in a war of words over the attack on the Iranian consulate in Syria. Iran’s legal measures against Israel underscore the growing animosity between the two nations, raising concerns about further conflict in the region.
