Iran’s National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) has announced the repair and restoration of the nationwide natural gas transfer pipelines that were damaged in recent “terrorist blasts”. According to NIGC’s Dispatching Director Saeid Aqli, the damaged sections of the pipelines in Khorrambid County and Borujen County have been repaired and are now operational.
The blasts occurred at around 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday local time at two separate points along the national natural gas transfer network in Fars province and Chaharmahal and Bakhtiari province. Iranian Oil Minister Javad Owji has described the explosions as “acts of terror” aimed at disrupting gas supplies to major provinces.
The repair work of the damaged sections of the nationwide gas transfer pipelines has been completed and the pipelines have become operational, as confirmed by NIGC’s Dispatching Director Saeid Aqli.
