IREDA loans for green energy projects reach Rs 37,354 crore in 2023-24

New Delhi, April 2 (IANS) Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA) has reported its highest-ever annual loan sanctions of Rs 37,354 crore in the financial year 2023-24. The company disbursed loans worth Rs 25,089 crore, resulting in a 26.71% growth in the loan book, now standing at Rs 59,650 crore.

IREDA chairman and managing director, Pradip Kumar Das, stated, “IREDA’s record loan sanctions and disbursements for the financial year 2023-24 underscore our commitment to driving the renewable energy revolution in the country.” He also mentioned the company’s contribution towards the Union government’s renewable energy targets.

This achievement highlights IREDA’s position as the largest pure-play green financing NBFC in India. The company’s significant loan sanctions and disbursements demonstrate its dedication to supporting the renewable energy sector and contributing to the nation’s green energy goals.
