New Delhi, March 10 (IANS) Former India cricketer Irfan Pathan expressed his support for his brother Yusuf Pathan as he enters politics. Trinamool Congress declared Pathan as a candidate for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, to contest from Baharampur constituency. Yusuf, known for his explosive batting and off-spin, played for India between 2007 and 2012.

Irfan Pathan took to social media to laud Yusuf’s qualities, saying, “Your patience, kindness, help to the needy, and service to people can be easily noticed. I am confident that once you step into a political role, you will truly make a difference in the daily lives of people @iamyusufpathan.”

It remains to be seen how he navigates the political arena and makes a difference in the lives of the people of Baharampur constituency.
