IamSlayonce: Is Beyonce on Twitch? Super Bowl ad sparks speculations

Super Bowl has commenced and if we know a little something about that show, it is viewed by millions of people. An advertisement or a star performance during the breaks of the event is something that gains loads of attention and popularity. Singer Beyoncé used this to drop her new music trailer.

Beyonce is now on Twitch with the username ‘IamSlayonce’

The ad was 90 seconds, where she was advertising for Verizon’s 5G network and became a Twitch streamer. In the ad, she tried lots of different ways to crash the network services: she opened a lemonade stand, ran for president, launched an AI version of herself, and whatnot. However, the network did not crash and continued to work flawlessly, and that was the main deal of the video.

People were surprised to see her in the new gaming avatar which was named ‘IamSlayonce’.

Turns out the account that got streamed was her real account. And after people found out, Beyonce’s Twitch account amassed more than 52k followers. The computerized comments were too true as well, like, “Blue taught her everything she knows” and more. After the ad was over, she said,

“Okay, they’re ready. Drop the new music.”

This broke the internet as she dropped the trailer for her brand new album, ‘Renaissance Act II.’ She also shared snippets of two songs, “Texas Hold ‘Em” and “16 Carriages,” which are her singles.

The best part about the song is that it is a tribute to Wim Wenders’ 1984 film, ‘Paris, Texas.’

Beyoncé - TEXAS HOLD 'EM (Official Visualizer)

Beyoncé is trying her best to find the perfect long-drive song but is unable to find one.

However, in the end, she figured out one, which is perfect; it has the vibe, and the lyrics are banging! And that’s when the audience is introduced to ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’.”
