California Assemblymember Wendy Carrillo has been arrested on suspicion of drunk driving in Los Angeles. The latest incident has raised a lot of concern over her reputation.

As stated above, a political candidate running for the seat in the Los Angeles City council recently got arrested. According to Los Angeles Times, she was taken under police custody for the suspicion of drunk driving after her car crashed.

The crash occurred during the early hours of the morning. Allegedly she was drunk and crashed her car into a bunch of parked cars. No one was injured in the accident. Carrillo later took full accountability for the accident and also apologized for her misdemeanor. 

Why is Wendy Carrillo Arrested?

As stated above, she was arrested for the suspicion of drunk driving. She took full responsibility for her actions and will take help to improve her medical status. Her family has not made any official comment about her arrest. Plus, her political party has yet to make any comment on the latest controversy. 

Who is Wendy Carrillo?

For those who don’t know, she is a renowned Democratic politician who is a part of the California State Assembly. Back in 2017, she was elected to represent the 52nd State Assembly district as well as covering some parts of the northeastern and east part of Los Angeles. 

She was born in El Salvador but her family migrated to America when she was just 5 years old. She went on to make history by being the first Salvadoran immigrant to be a part of the State Assembly.
