Ishan Kishan makes an unremarkable return to competitive cricket in DY Patil T20 Cup

India’s wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan returned to competitive cricket after pulling out of the South Africa tour for personal reasons. Playing for RBI in the DY Patil T20 Cup, Kishan made 19 off 12 balls but couldn’t prevent RBI from losing by 89 runs to Route Mobile Limited.

Route Mobile posted 192/8 thanks to Aayush Vartan’s 54 off 31 balls. Kishan stumped Sumit Dhekale and later made 19 runs. In another match, CAG posted 170 against Indian Oil, but Indian Oil fell short by two runs despite a strong performance from Akshay Raghuvanshi.

Mumbai Customs had a confident start with a nine-wicket win over Nirlon Sports Club, while Jain Irrigation sealed a five-wicket win over Central Railway. The match saw Kishan returning to cricket after his personal reasons, but RBI lost by a massive 89 runs.

Route Mobile, with the best bowler being Badrey Alam (5-20), posted 192/8. In another match, CAG posted 170 off their allotted 20 overs against Indian Oil. Mumbai Customs made a confident start with a nine-wicket win over Nirlon Sports Club. Central Railway were bowled out for 145 in 17.2 overs. Jay Bista led Jain Irrigation to a five-wicket win over Central Railway.
