IShowSpeed Breaks Viewership Record with Viral Indonesia Livestream
YouTube streamer Darren “IShowSpeed” recently set a new viewership record with one of his livestream videos from Indonesia, which has been watched over 20 million times.
His other stream videos usually get between 2 and 8 million views, so this one is a huge success for him.
He visited Indonesia as part of a trip around Southeast Asia, where he also went to Malaysia, Cambodia, Vietnam, the Philippines, and Thailand.
IShowSpeed’s channel has been growing quickly.
On September 20, 2024, he passed 31 million subscribers on YouTube, just three days after hitting 30 million in Cambodia.
His Indonesia livestream became super popular, showing him interacting with fans on the street and visiting a haunted house.
He even had “bark-offs” with his fans, which is something he’s known for.
Another clip from his trip went viral, showing him doing a traditional Indonesian dance in Bali.
Even though he wasn’t live-streaming at the time, the video caught a lot of attention because he added his own funny style to the dance.
He danced with performers wearing traditional costumes and masks. IShowSpeed also announced on social media (X) that he would stay in Indonesia for a few more days and planned another livestream in Bali.
This trip is part of his global travels, where he has also streamed in European countries like Poland, the Netherlands, and Germany.
He’s been collaborating with other big creators, like Kai Cenat, and participating in marathon gaming streams.
