Israeli bombing on Gaza hospital leaves 4 dead and 17 wounded

At least four Palestinians were killed and 17 others were wounded in an Israeli bombing on tents inside the Al-Aqsa Hospital in the central Gaza Strip. Palestinian eyewitnesses reported that a drone fired a missile at tents housing displaced persons and journalists in the hospital courtyard.

The Israel Defense Forces stated that “an IAF aircraft struck an operational Islamic Jihad command centre and terrorists positioned in the courtyard of the Al-Aqsa Hospital.” Palestinian medical sources confirmed that four people were killed and 17 others were injured, including two journalists.

Activists shared a video on Facebook showing tents made of nylon and tin catching fire. The Hamas-run media office in Gaza condemned the Israeli army’s actions, calling it another “massacre” by bombing during peak hours of movement among the wounded and displaced in the hospital.

The office called on international and regional health organizations to condemn the attack and labeled it as a “terrible crime.” The hospital building itself was not damaged, according to the Israel Defense Forces statement.
