Israeli strike on Lebanon kills 3 Hezbollah fighters

Three Hezbollah members were killed in an Israeli air strike targeting a house in Lebanon’s southern village of Khirbet Selm, according to Lebanese military sources. Members of the civil defence rushed to the scene and the bodies were transferred to Tebnin Governmental Hospital. Israel launched five raids in southern Lebanon.

Lebanese armed group Hezbollah said it targeted Israel’s Meron air base with missiles, as well as an Israeli site near Mount Adir. The Lebanon-Israel border has been tense since October 2023, after Hezbollah supported Hamas in attacking Israel on October 7. The confrontations have resulted in the deaths of 352 people on the Lebanese side.

The sources, speaking anonymously, reported that Israel fired 30 shells on seven towns and villages in southern Lebanon. The increased tension between Hezbollah and Israel has escalated with both sides exchanging attacks. The violence has taken a toll on both military members and civilians in the region.

The ongoing conflict between Hezbollah and Israel continues to cause casualties and escalate tensions in the border region. The recent air strike by Israel targeting Hezbollah members in Lebanon highlights the volatile situation in the area. Both sides have been engaged in retaliatory attacks, leading to casualties and destruction in the region.
