Israel’s intelligence reports a minor attack by Iran on military establishments

Tel Aviv, April 13 (IANS) – Israeli intelligence agencies Mossad and Shin Bet have warned the Israel war cabinet about a potential minor drone attack from Iran on Israeli military establishments. Sources in Israel’s Defence Ministry confirm the possibility of an attack without the use of missiles.

A senior official from Israel’s Defence Ministry stated, “Iran will not launch a major attack on Israel and might opt for a drone attack. However, Israel is well prepared for any potential threats.” US President Joe Biden has also cautioned Iran against any possible attack.

Israel Defence Minister, Yoav Gallant, condemned Iran, calling them a “terrorist body” that supports attacks in the Middle East. He reassured that Israel is ready to defend itself on all fronts and in collaboration with its partners. Hezbollah, a militant group supported by Iran, has also warned of an impending attack on Israel.

Reports suggest that Iran is planning an attack on Israel within the next 24 hours as retaliation for a recent attack in Damascus that killed top Iranian military officials. Brigadier General Mohammed Reza Zahedi, who was overseeing arms supply to Hezbollah and linked to past attacks on Israel, was among those killed in the incident. Israel is on high alert following the warnings and recent events.

Hezbollah’s leader Hassan Nasrallah has threatened Israel and launched explosive-laden drones towards the West Bank border. The heightened tensions in the region have put Israel on edge, with a looming threat of an attack from Iran. The situation remains tense as both sides prepare for potential hostilities.
