IT Minister set to launch NITI Aayog’s platform for enhancing digital governance transformation

New Delhi, March 6 (IANS) Union IT and Telecom Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will launch NITI Aayog’s ‘NITI For States’ platform in the Capital on Thursday to further empower digital transformation of governance. The platform is designed to serve as a Digital Public Infrastructure for policy and good governance.

The ‘NITI For States’ platform aims to equip government officials with relevant knowledge and insights to enhance decision-making. It will include a repository of best practices, policy documents, datasets, and NITI publications spanning across 10 sectors and two cross-cutting themes.

Additionally, the IT Minister will inaugurate the ‘Viksit Bharat Strategy Room’ at NITI Aayog, which will facilitate visualisation and engagement for effective decision-making. The platform will benefit district collectors and block-level functionaries with access to innovative best practices from various States and UTs.

According to NITI Aayog, the knowledge products on the platform will cover sectors such as agriculture, education, energy, health, manufacturing, and tourism, along with themes like gender and climate change. The platform is set to transform governance by providing actionable insights for government officials, thereby enhancing the quality of their decision-making processes.
